Minnesota kills the penalty, but a few solid chances for North Dakota with the man advantage. Still 1-0 Minnesota though.

That goal really took the spark out of North Dakota. Hard to see the Hawks coming back after that.

Man these announcers are really trying to sell this whole "standing room only" bit. Not very effective when you see near full rows of empty seats.

North Dakota with a pretty 2x1, but Gopher goalie makes the save. Just does not seem to be North Dakota's night tonight. Better effort from the Hawks tonight though...at least there is that.

Boy...I sure am getting tired of this team playing sloppy.

Oh well...at least they won it all last year.

Dixon Bowen takes advantage of some confusion between Minnesota players and gets a partial breakaway. Schierhorn stops. Still 2-0 Gophers.

Wow...what a terrible call. Gophers to go on the powerplay after North Dakota dominated for about 2 minutes straight.

Gophers will have third PP of the game as Gersich gets two minutes for hooking.

That's the end of the 2nd. Minnesota will have a little over a minute of powerplay time to start the third.

Once again, North Dakota outplays the Gophers for the majority of the second period, but drop another goal behind.

Does not look good for the green and white tonight. Hopefully their fortunes can turn around in the final stanza.
