North Dakota with a bit more jump tonight than last night. We'll see if they can keep that up for 60 minutes.

Pretty pathetic powerplay thus far for North Dakota.

About 25 seconds left with the man advantage and nothing really to show for it.

Yep, Minnesota is 4-0-4 against North Dakota at Mariucci since 2/1/2008. Of course, from 1/14/2006 to 2/1/2008, North Dakota was 4-0-0 at Mariucci. In sum, in the last 12 games between the two teams at Mariucci, they have split them 4-4-4.

And the Gophers score first...on the Powerplay. North Dakota's special teams are the worst I've seen from UND in a long time. Bottom half (third?) in both powerplay and penalty kill...pathetic. Keep it 5x5 and I like our chances.

Gophers blocking a lot of shots. North Dakota has absolutely dominated this game, but they've had several good chances blocked before getting to the net.

Just under 5 to play in the first, 1-0 Gophers.

Gophers will have another PP with 3:27 to play in the first. Gornall gets two minutes for goalie interference. Media timeout.

Gopher goalie steps in front of North Dakota forward and gets run over, and draws the goaltender interference penalty.
