North Dakota @ Duluth - Saturday 2/11/2012

Re: North Dakota @ Duluth - Saturday 2/11/2012

And that's the game I believe...

5-4 Duluth gets the split

Rowney had a great opportunity with about 5-6 seconds left, but shot it wide

Well...they put 2.5 seconds back on the clock...I suppose that is enough time to get the puck in the back of the net, but most likely this one is over

North Dakota calls their timeout.

North Dakota gets a shot off, but it goes wide...Duluth wins 5-4.

Disappointing night for North Dakota, as the UMD powerplay absolutely killed us with 4 powerplay goals.

Glad to see the dogs come back and win it tonight after the embarrassment last night!!

Duluth's powerplay was dominant, but they struggled 5x5. Of course, when you score 4 on the powerplay, you don't have to play very well even strength.

Hoping the dogs didnt peak too early this year... UND looked awesome last night, maybe they are the ones peaking now!

That would be nice, but I don't think so. North Dakota is extremely shorthanded to make an extended run. That being said, if they can get in the NCAA Tournament, anything can happen. Duluth is a solid team, and if Brown can get back on the ice sooner than later, they will be very difficult to stop. Ultimately, I think the WCHA is not a very good conference this year (slightly higher than the ECAC) and that will show come tournament time. I just hope Michigan doesn't win it all. :)
