Well UND will continue to take blue chip recruits from Minnesota (like Parise, Oshie, Kristo, etc) and they'll find gritty role players and goal scorers from Canada. And don't talk about postseason choking as a Gophers fan, coming from the school that has missed the NCAA tourney 3 times in the last decade

Choking is being the clear favorite to win and not doing so. That is the definition of UND hockey over the last decade. And stop comparing yourself to the Gophers/Minnesota again. We are clearly better.

If Canada is a hotbed why are you getting blue chip recruits from Minnesota (a clear non-hotbed)? When was the last time the hotbed won the Stanley Cup? Obviously Canadian hockey is only good to a certain level and then others' domination takes over. Canadian hockey superiority is a thing of the past. Kind of like SD broadcasts. Oh, UND likes both of those.

LOL! Try again. We were 3/3 against you in recruiting the Top MN kids in 2011. Players, I might add, that will have a much bigger college impact than those you got.

Like I said, you'll pick up a confused kid or two from Minny every so often, but it won't be enough. But keep embracing the fact that you follow a plug-n-play program. The real reason our provincialism is annoying to you is because we don't have to import our talent. It grows in our back yard

Nope, but the fact that you've flip flopped on this topic several times does prove your opinions are useless.

The fact that we consistently have much higher TV ratings for Gopher hockey games than UND proves we have the Gophers have a larger following.

Where are the TV ratings to back this up? You keep making all these crazy claims but never have any evidence to back them up. Until you present evidence, UND is most obviously the most follow team in North America.

Dear UND - I notice that you have no current players from your home state....the last year you won the NCAA you had 6 home grown and 8 Minnesotans playing with a Gopher Alumni coaching. We had a couple of ND boys play for us a few years back....it seemed to work out ok. Anyway, just a thought.

Canadian teams haven't been winning the Stanley Cup, true. But aside from Dustin Brown leading his team (Against UND alums Parise and Zajac), its been Canadian born players leading their teams to the cup (See Toews, another former Sioux, leading the Hawks)
