NonConference games matter more than conference ones..RPI needs changes

Re: NonConference games matter more than conference ones..RPI needs changes

Last season he said "power rankings made conference play irrelevant."

What will it be in 18-19 if BC isn't in the Final 16?

I love this stuff.

Hey genius (thread starter). Everyone knows the rules before the season starts. Get smart on Simple Math or stay home. Here, I'll give you a starting point.

1 + 1 = 2

Not 5. Which is what you're trying to do with this thread.

System needs some tweaks. BEMIDJI STATE FINISHED TOP OF WCHA BY TEN POINTS last year and was passed over.
Yes, and like BC this year they had a poor non-conference record, going 0-7-1 in regular season non-conference games and then losing in their conference tournament. You apparently don't understand that the NCAA tournament counts all games, not just conference games, so teams also have to do well in non-conference games (or better than 0-7-3[BC] or 0-7-1 [BSU] in the regular season). Back in the NCAA 4/5/6 team tournament days the WCHA regular season champion wasn't selected 4 times and the ECAC regular season champion wasn't selected 8 times. It's always happened, so get over it.

What was Penn State non tournament winner and 4th place in conference with losing conference record.
Going by your conference record criteria BU should have been selected over BC for the 2008 NCAA Tournament. BC finished 4th, 4 points behind BU, who finished second, and 2 points behind Vermont, who finished third.

43 other teams besides BC sat at home during the tournament, and none of them are whining.

Power Rankings are something created to pass the time.

WIN. YOUR. GAMES.

Act adult. If you don’t agree. You don’t. It’s not simple math. A computer only spits out what u program it to.

I think you're just upset because BC doesn't get a "legacy" bid.

The reason BC went was that it won the conference tournament. I am not complaining about it.

BC won the league tournament and got the automatic bid THAT YEAR. I aM not disagreeing over the automatic bid that 4th place BU got THIS YEAR.
