NMU Wildcats 2014-2015

Re: NMU Wildcats 2014-2015

You and the other 500 fans attending games will have plenty of room then! Good luck with it all. Keeping Coach Kyle around just ensures more average teams. This blows.

I thought Wildcat hockey games were a fairly big draw? 500 fans per game only? That seems overly low.

Re: NMU Wildcats 2014-2015

Just extreme hyperbole. The average attendance last season was 2,188. It's down from the peak attendance around 2004-05.

Blue line is the team's win percentage each season.
Red line is the percentage of Attendance/Building Capacity. The per game average is from USCHO's yearly attendance stats.

*edit*
Of note, the 2010-11 season was immediately after the Wildcat's first visit to the NCAA's since 1999. It's pretty remarkable that the attendance plummeted as hard as it did following that season. But then AFTER that shi**y season, attendance jumped back up to the 2009-10 season levels.

It's almost as if for every good year this team has, the locals refuse to watch the team.
