I'm sure if the schools had a choice, they wouldn't have selected this weekend. But the league does the schedule.

So since there is a "Student Section" and a lot of students won't be here, will those seats just be empty? Would be nice to be able to sell them to general public.

I'm surprised that Ramada hasn't wanted to get involved again now that they play 4 times a year.

I believe that when the Franklin Square in Houghton was still a Ramada (it's now the Magnuson) it was owned by the same group who owns the Ramada in Marquette...not entirely sure but I think that was the case. Now that the Ramada is over in Hancock it has a different owner, so maybe it's not as cut-and-dry of a situation.

Roughly 100 reserved seats remain at the BEC as of today. NMU also opened up GA sales in Section 9.

This series ought to always be packed! I wish I could make it up for Friday, but work will have me in Wausau and I'm not driving home 2 hours to drive 3 north... :(

About 70 seats left for Saturday in the SDC. SRO tickets are now available.

That 5-min major call was complete bull ****. What the **** is wrong with the refs? No one has their hands up because they didn't blow the whistle until well after MTU possessed the puck but they assess a major and game misconduct? Unbelievable.

So I thought Ryan Kesti finally turned a corner and was playing much better his senior year.


And then the dipsh*t goes and plays like a goddammed goon tonight getting away with a knee-on-knee attempt in the first period and finally being caught for a blatant kneeing to kill the momentum and give the Huskies a five minute major (and two subsequent PP goals by them).


What a ******** useless sack. :mad:

Northern definitely played more physical tonight and I noticed that physicality with Kesti the most. Game we should've won but didn't. Feels like a loss almost.

Since coming home from Alaska, the 'Cats are 0-3-4. Of the potential fourteen points, the 'Cats have been able to net just four. Adding to the sting is that five of those games have been at home.

'Cats need to turn things around, and a surprise road win in Houghton would help.

I'll be making the trip to Houghton but the way results have turned out for NMU the last two years or so up there I don't have high hopes.

Announced attendance of 3,706 tonight.
