Then the question is, why did they overturn the initial call? If it's not conclusive, then you can't overturn. I'd be really interested to see a replay of the play in question. If anyone can find a link, it'd be appreciated.

Oh I know. That was for the full disclosure of anyone who might think "well, THIS guy said it was the right call..."

I haven't seen it, either, so I can't say. I have seen, like you, that the majority said it was a bad call.

That's a horrible call. Someone mentioned earlier that if THAT ruling is correct, half the goals scored would be waved off. That person is correct. Terrible.

What a surprise that Brent supports a Yooper school against UND. At least this instance his viewpoint is actually arguable and not completely idiotic like his last one.

Actually, I don't give a rat's arse about NMU, and frankly, now that UND is not in MN's conference, I couldn't care less about them, either. Well, until MN plays them in any post-season games. :)

I thought it would be allowed, and the Sioux got lucky with the review, but it was a good call under the rule. He was in the crease while he obstructed view, which is a no-goal.

I don't agree with the rules but the crease is there for a reason... the goalie is supposed to have the entire crease to use to make a save at a puck without being interfered with either physically or visually.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a time when a goal would be disallowed if a player was in the crease. That was changed (I think) to allow the goal if the goalie was not interfered with, even if the player was in the crease. But you can't have the goal if you are in the crease AND interfere, visually or physically. Rule makes complete sense and is fair.
