NMU @ SCSU: Remember last time... when you guys... in the NCAAs.... :D

Re: NMU @ SCSU: Remember last time... when you guys... in the NCAAs.... :D

Well can't complain too much but the Vikings are preventing me from making the game Saturday.

The thread title makes me want to find some puppies, kittens, burlap sacks, and heavy rocks.

Since when does NMU get all these good OOC games?
Since 2003 when Walt was able to schedule the non-conference opponents. That's why we've consistently had better PWR rankings than similar (or better) mid-pack CCHA teams.

I still dunno what to make of this team... Maybe sitting for 3 weeks got the team refocused

Rust aside, this series will be critical in seeing what we have for the 2nd half....

I'm thinking that the Vikings game is going to be one I don't want to watch, at least that's what I am telling myself so I can feel justified going to the Husky game Saturday. Maybe the Vikings game will be a really boring 0-0 game with then goes into an exciting overtime, which I can see when I get home, following the Huskies sweep. :D

With all the commercial breaks and the pace that NFL games take, halftime will barely be over by the time the hockey game ends

It would be nice to see a little consistency from SCSU before getting back to the conference grind. NMU is no pushover, but this is certainly a sweepable series. That being the case, probably another split.

Every time I see that video in my head I hear Mosey saying "woah...what ..just happened? in my most stereotypical stoner voice.

bottom line out D needs to wake the hell up and put together some consistency we cannot let in 3 goals a night and expect to keep our place in the WCHA.

Blown away by the young scoring talent we have however, some real potential there.

and remember "If you want to win, get a Fin"

Huskies sweep or I am done for the year.

Bold. I guess the task of falling on fans at the NHC will be left up to me should that happen. Our 3-3 non-con record (two losses to UNH, two wins over Huntsville, and the split with RPI) certainly could come back to hurt us should we fail to sweep this weekend.

Right. All of the WCHA teams with a non-conference series are playing beatable teams. If we don't pick up a majority of the wins, the WCHA might be looking at only 2 or 3 teams getting into the NCAA tournament. Not a great way to go out as a conference.

I figured NMU dropped to D3 after losing to us...

These announcers from ST Cloud are awful. They also do not do their research. Dude just said Northern plays on a smaller sheet. Unless, ST Clpud has a sheet bigger than Olympic?
