NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

RaceBoarder

Waiting for the Snow to fly...
NMU got swept by UAH... PSU just honored someone who helped his buddy conduct child rape in a shower...

I want vengeance in a big way this weekend

GO CATS!

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

Well like it or not, PSU is getting PLENTY of publicity. But don't they play a similar style to UAH?

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

NMU really needs a solid road sweep here. I expected one this past weekend coming off a good MTU series. Hopefully, losing two against UAH combined with having a National audience on Saturday will be enough motivation for them. No real frframe of reference for how NMU will match up against Penn State as they have no history.

I hope eNaMu wins, because screw Pedo State.

Pedo State did look very good against MSU last Saturday, though. A couple goals, the MSU goalie had zero chance against. It was that ridiculous.

Anyone who would expect sweeps against UAH, especially in Huntsville is bound to be disappointed at some point. It's a hard working, improving program with an All American calibre goaltender. Those teams make life miserable for those who doubt them. Penn State, by the way, leads the Big Six and is 7-1-2 at home.

I haven't been able to catch but a few games this year, but what has happened to Reed Seckel this year? 7 points at this point in the season is not what you expect from your top returning scorer. Is he hurt or just ineffective?

Alternate thread title: "NCAA Violations? I got your violations, RIGHT HERE!"

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

These two teams are now both dirty! :o

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

Although NMU won in Houghton, they also gave away a 2-0 lead that night as well. Need to get leads and keep them.

I didn't count that one because that happened during the second period. I looked at it similarly to baseball. You don't give a pitcher a blown save for giving up a grand slam in the fourth inning.

And, the 'Cats are undefeated this season when leading after one period (6-0-2).

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

Cats try again this afternoon on the Big Ten Network.

Would love to embarrass Penn State on national TV. :D

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

Kaib gets two goals Friday but isn't in the lineup today. Injury? Also, Siemer apparently didn't make the trip as he isn't in today's lineup again.

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

Something to watch is if Siemer is still out along with Walt. Siemer initially had troubles getting through the NCAA clearinghouse.

Also worth noting:
... the Wildcats welcome two true freshmen forwards in John Siemer and Gerard Hanson, who were ineligible by NCAA standards the first semester of 2013-14.
...
Siemer wasn't allowed to be a part of any practices or team meetings prior to suiting up on Dec. 14. [2013]...
Gerard Hanson only played 15 games a year ago back in Sweden for his hometown Lidingo Vikings - which plays in a Division II league Hanson called, "decent but not optimal" - but scored 11 goals and 14 assists for the program he grew up in.
...
"It's been so weird sitting out a year," Hanson said. "Going into that, I was just going through my mind what was going to happen and how I was going to be on the ice. It has been faster than I thought it would be.
...
Kyle said he feels good about Siemer and Hanson joining freshmen forwards Dominik Shine (20 years old), Shane Sooth (21) and Sami Salminen (20), of Finland. They were all originally projected to join the Wildcats two seasons ago, but had to be pushed back due to a variety of NCAA eligibility issues such as a missing required class or wrong degree from a foreign country.

Good to see Fred Pletsch remembers who the 'Cats are. Called Gerard Hanson Greger (who graduated years ago). Their graphics said Rob Lehtinen's name was "John."

But hey, at least the graphics call us "N Michigan" this time around.

Re: NMU @ Penn State: Easily the Dirtiest Place on Earth.....

So are there PSU hockey fans who post? And if there are, are they as cult-like as the rest of the PSU community? You know, the ones that defend Paterno like they are defending their own TRULY falsely accused father? The ones who feel like removing the Paterno statue was almost as big a sin (or even a bigger sin) than the rapes perpetrated by Sandusky under the watchful eye of the university?
