NMU @ MTU: Saturday Oct 24th. Lots of extra juice tonight

15 minutes to puck drop. Both teams will come out hard tonight.I'm sure Tech will play better and the sheet is an NHL rink, should be a different game.

After 1 it's NMU 1 Tech 0. Tech outshot them 17 -6 but had a tough time getting rebounds to go. hit one post. NMU got a free look from the dots and buried it.
Tech taking a lot of penalties just as they have all year and it has really hurt them. NMU doesn't have the depth to compete but the special teams are a factor.

After 2 it's 3-1 Tech is up. Shots are 35 to 12 in favor of Tech. NMU took a couple of penalties early which hurt them and Tech was able to stay out of the box. NMU played much better after the first ten minutes ( in which Tech scored all three goals) but was unable to score.

Tech wins 3 -1 tonight. the final shots were roughly 47 17. Tech say back in the third and there were a number of great chances for both teams. Both goalies were very good. Tech played much better than last night and deserved the win. The top Tech center went out with an injury early in the game and Tech had to double shift the center position the whole game.
