Fry didn’t say when he arrived, but he’s set up shop in a building the militants want to turn into a media center, according to Finicum. Fry said he knows “a little bit” about computers.
“I’m just here to document what’s going on (at the compound),” Fry said.
Fry’s Google+ account shows the Ohio man regularly posts anti-Semitic, homophobic, and pro-Nazi propaganda on social media.
Fry also posts in support of ISIS.
There's definitely some sort of hanky-panky going on here. Either the news outlet lied to get people on the government's side (NDAA now permits this), or the "militants" are a part of a staged act in order to goad the people into giving up more rights.
Lemme guess. The Bundy family are covert federal agents?
Far healthier for us to point and laugh than to call in the drone strikes. What should the government do if the “militiamen” don’t quickly disband? Certainly not call out the Army—or federal marshals, the FBI, or the Forest Rangers. Although armed, the protesters hold no hostages. They are in the middle of nowhere. This is more of a sit-in or campout than a standoff. It’s certainly not a terrorist action. No one is in immediate danger.
In situations like this—involving angry protesters, domestic quarrels, mentally disturbed individuals, even terrorists—the first objective of authorities is to stay cool, reduce tension, and avoid provoking aggressive behavior that could endanger lives.
I disagree with the push to classify every redneck who waves a gun and shouts hate speech as a "TERRORIST!" They're all talk. The streets are not about to be running red with the blood of BLM foresters.

I want those idiots on TV every day until the election. Whenever the Daddy Took An Oath idiot opens his mouth a thousand more undecideds become Democrats. They are bringing to the surface the stupidity and insanity of the paranoia than underpins Republican rhetoric in a way that only comedians have been able to. They are a Godsend.
But separating them as "terrorists" and/or starting a shooting war isn't going to further that agenda. It'll just prove that they're put-upon victims of a hostile government.

I blame Gurt.
If the WIAA could hear what these players are saying to each other, they'd probably shut down all high school athletics and send everyone to sensitivity training.
A favorite, and this one is rated G, but... a player of ours says to one of theirs as they set up for a faceoff at a crucial time... "Does your coach know you're in the game?"
I know it's been used before but i hadn't heard it. I almost lost it.
This is the most difficult thing I had to do when I was a journalist, I still have nightmares about going through a zillion thumbnails and having zero usable photos. The lighting in most of those rinks is terrible, it's at distance and speed, and it's cold. I'm not technically proficient with cameras by any means, but still, I admire anyone who has the patience and know-how to do this well.I shoot photos for my son's high school hockey team

I've been at it (hockey photography) since my kid was a squirt and he is now a junior. I've been a photography hobbyist though for probably 20 years and I also use it in my profession shooting photos of remodeling interiors.
I enjoy shooting my son's games now that I'm no longer coaching. I know if I couldn't do it, I would appreciate another parent providing me with photos of this time in my kid's life and ours.
I know what you're saying about rink lighting and other factors. I typically shoot between 500 and 1000 photos of a game and usually 20% of those are usable. The bad ones either show nothing of interest, are blurry or have someone skate through the foreground of what otherwise would have been a great shot. That last one happens a lot.
The game photos from the past two seasons on the team Facebook site are mine:

One year of bantams one of the other dads (goalie's dad) was a professional photo editor. We had GREAT photos that year. One of the other dads was flipping through them on his laptop on a plane and his seatmate asked him "do all the Edina teams have pro photographers?" He said "yeah, pretty much."
ETA: Great shots, Gurt!
ETA@: Wow, you REALLY zoom in. Makes it much harder. The dad I spoke about was a little further out in his shots which often showed more of the sense of the action. He did a great sequence of my kid going in on goal and scoring where you really could see what was happening.
