You laugh, but I am willing to bet that show would get good ratings. IINM Pio is actually a professional in that industry; they could team up. I'm actually not really joking -- they seem a lot brighter than the guys who are doing it now. And as we know, they can bring the cray.

I sure as hell wanna be a guest, though.

And you and Rover could start one up on the other side of things. Oh wait, no one listens to those shows and those networks have failed. Never mind.

Just you wait for the Fairness Doctrine to rear its ugly head again. ;)

I have a decent voice, but I'm horrible at ad libbing, which is why I would not make a good sports commentator. I have to have some sort of script, even if I take the time to write it on my own.

Sigh...

I thought it was funny. Even if it wasn't funny, it wasn't worth getting fired over, especially after the trash talk Mark Cuban was handing out at the beginning of the series. Unfortunately, we have people like this in the world who think everything is about rape and pursuing rape and every man in the world wants rape so definitely words are rape because rape rape rape. There were even pictures to provide context and some people still couldn't figure it out.

Wait, can you give me a rundown of what happened? I sometimes have a hard time following twitter convos and what not. I generally like what she has to say on various issues, and have no idea what she's talking about in regards to Tyler Dellow (whose tweets are down or something?).

Actually, given the wording of the tweet, I agree with her on this. I don't think he meant it that way, but that's the way it comes off to me even with the emojis.

The Rockets tweeted "Just close your eyes, it'll all be over soon" with emojis of a horse and a gun, obviously in the context of a horse being put down. Probably not the best thing to tweet, but most people on the interwebs seemed to think it was just creative trash talk that had gone too far. Soon after the tweet was deleted and an apology was posted.

So this afternoon it was announced the Rockets fired their social media manager. That lady's Twitter was posted in the Deadspin comments as someone who was trying to push it as a rape joke. Now, even if she and others like he couldn't see the emojis at first "some phones don't load them", she knows by now what the joke was actually about. I don't believe she's actually conversing with anyone in the Rockets organization, I was just amazed that, even knowing the context, she's still posting as if it's about rape and is angry at everyone for not treating it as a rape joke.

I mean, I support people who fight for causes, but being an advocate really loses its effectiveness when you try to pull discrimination or vulgarness out of a situation where there is none to be had, and when shown to be wrong, you double down on your stance and lash out at everyone.
