Everyone is for you, until you beat a woman in an athletic event. Then there is something wrong with you and the folks who let biological men compete against females.

You're screwed no matter what.

BTW, good luck. You have a difficult road ahead of you with lots of highs and lows. Hang in there.

Not everyone is for you, but you know that already. Of those who support you, most will continue to do so through thick and thin. We all have our trials to get through--you more than most. But thanks to enlightened thinking by a number of people that is increasing slowly but steadily, you are not screwed no matter what.

Fade, I ran my 10th half-marathon on Sunday. Official time was 2:44:17, an over 12:00/mile. Plus my body is still recovering from past abuse, and the days of coming close to a 2 hour half are done.

But keep assuming I can beat Shalane Flanagan, Joe.

The male HS wrestler in Texas(?) who has won state girls titles.

And, don't forget those Eastern bloc female track and field athletes who mysteriously retired when the IAAF started genetic testing (which now no longer applies). ;)

It's not testosterone. It's flat out ability. Even without hormones, my half PR is 1:58:35 and my full PR is a 4:46:28. I had to work super hard to get to the MIDDLE OF THE PACK.

There are cis females in my group who've qualified for Boston, done Ironmans, finished on the podium at half-Iron.

Handy, I would ask him to go for a walk in my ballerina flats, but I don't think he'd last that long.

The Ossies competed as women (or were told they were women, and the drugs were OK because "everyone took them"). That's on them.

If you want to be a GOOD ally...

1. Stop digging the hole you started with "you're screwed anyway."

2. Listen to us. Right now, you're still saying that taking hormones is the way to conquer the women's division. If that were the case, I would have won the Grand Rapids half-marathon on Sunday. And you glossed right over that.
