SJWs are now going to buy Nike because they have tapped Kap as a marketing campaign. Oh, no, nevermind Nike's sweatshop practices....

What a joke.

What a joke.

And Trumpies are going to hit 'em where it hurts with a boycott. I'm sure Nike executives are quaking in their Air Jordans.

The whole thing is a joke, both sides. My point is that the SJW's are going to increase their buying from a sweatshop. ;)

Hmmmm. Side A physically destroys or defaces clothing and shoes for which Nike has already been paid, out of spite for Nike and Kap.

Side B purchases shoes and clothing from Nike, out of support for Kap and spite for Side A.

Any winners in this fight?

Oh, right.

Kap. He's making loads of dough.

The Economist defending their stupid plan to interview Bannon.

Re: Nice Planet 15: I Knew It, I'm Surrounded By...

I do...and I find their long winded statement to be nothing more than verbal acrobatics cause they dont even think their reasons are legit. Its their choice obviously, but they deserve every bit of scorn they get for doing it. Bannon is a racist clown and all you are doing is shining a light on how awesome it was he used that to get Trump elected.

I disagree. When you look at the audience that will attend this event, it's not Bannon's crowd. The man is walking into the lion's den and has to defend his BS ideas. The Trump base will eat it up, but everybody else will either ignore him or start to reject their former tacit approval of Bannon and his Trump monster. The degree to which this happens largely depends upon the interviewer. Bannon holds many bad ideas, though he isn't an idiot when it comes to a situation such as this. The interviewer will have to be careful, and try to get him into a sense of complacency during the discussion, to catch him speaking "his truth" rather than what's been rehearsed.

Re: Nice Planet 15: I Knew It, I'm Surrounded By...

I think you are being naive...but that is just me. Doesnt matter anyways its their choice.

Re: Nice Planet 15: I Knew It, I'm Surrounded By...

I kinda doubt it.

I saw half a dozen folks within minutes, saying they were going to do just that. Of course, this is completely unscientific, but if you think Nike wasn't going to make money on this.... ;)

Re: Nice Planet 15: I Knew It, I'm Surrounded By...

Or maybe it’s because all of Nike’s star athletes all happen to be black and they just wanted to support the people they sponsor. Serena, LeBron, Kap, Curry, Rose, Harden, Durant. That and the fact that 50-year-old white men aren’t exactly Nike’s key demographic.

I saw an exceptionally stupid Facebook post asking why Nike didn’t run this ad for Pat Tillman.

My take on this Nike thing, as posted in another thread: Will it make them money? Yes? Then do it.

That’s literally every decision made in the last 60 years by every company. Not exactly breaking new ground here.

I agree. But some are taking this new campaign as a personal affront to whatever they believe, pro or anti Kap. It makes me laugh, in a twisted way.

Re: Nice Planet 15: I Knew It, I'm Surrounded By...

The best was some lady took a picture of her Converse and said "I like my Chuck Taylors better anyways". Nike owns Converse :D
