We will need a little better effort than last night. There were times that we just let down and Watson had to be very good and very lucky. We did have some incredible chances in the OT but going into the third period up a goal we simply had to play a better third period.
 
We were lucky to come out of the second period ahead. Niagara skated rings around us in that period. Watson had to be great.
We couldn't get the puck out of our zone all game.
I am looking forward to today's game to see if we can make the adjustments needed.

Watson is the main reason this game did not go into the loss column. Several show-stopper saves. The D gave Niagara too much room in the slot and too many pucks (42) getting to the net. Niagara also forced lots of turnovers especially in the D zone. They carried play in the second and third periods. Led SOG 32-22 over that stretch. Hotson needs to control the emotion. Three penalties in one period including a game misconduct is inexcusable.

I am not sure how you take a butt ending penalty with 0.6 seconds left in a period?? I felt the first 10 minutes we looked like the team that scored 14 last weekend. After that we had some short flashes of that but mostly we started to look like the team from last year. I must say that i was surprised we were able to fend off a long 5 on 3 though. That would have not happened last year.

Both Niagara goals went in off of our defensemen. The RPI goal should have been disallowed due to off sides. But we will take it.
