Ralph, you may want to check the year on the thread starting. Maybe that's why we've been losing...;)

Re: Niagara @ RPI, Friday, 10/21/16

This might be the 2 most important non-conference games of the year this weekend. I know it's early in the year and we're playing against two Atlantic Hockey teams at home that we should be able to defeat, but nevertheless we have done little right so far, outside of some outstanding penalty killing. it would be great to outshoot our opponents tonight and tomorrow. That would put a lot less pressure on Perry (or maybe Hackett) to have to keep coming up with big saves to keep us in these games. Let's go RED!!

I totally agree with you. The first three games, we had reasonable excuses for the losses. If we lose these games, there will be no excuses. Now, we can lose these games if the opposing goalies stand on their heads, but we better be the better team on the ice.

Lets go red!!!!!!!

Note to the team: if the goalie stands on his head, don't go for the 5 hole -- it will go over the net. ;)

Re: Niagara @ RPI, Friday, 10/21/16

RPI last played Niagara in October 2010 and squeaked through with a 4-3 overtime victory.

Prior to that, the Purple Eagles had owned a four-game winning streak against the Engineers.

We should know better than to expect anything will ever come easy, but it would be kind of nice tonight if RPI could extend their winning streak against Niagara to two games.

Re: Niagara @ RPI, Friday, 10/21/16

scratches: Wiffen, Rappaport, Reisinger, Savec, Manley, and Moore.

And Orhvall plays again. ;)
