Niagara @ RPI 10/23/10

I don't know about you guys, but I don't think Higgs will anmount to much.

KN-don't feel so bad-there are a lot of scouts who did not rate the kid highly. He has the right tenacity to be a very good college level player.

Re: Niagara @ RPI 10/23/10

Overall performance today is a C. Normally a win should get a better grade but we had one bad period even though we scored twice in it-then a good period that we did not score-followed by a horrible period in which we were outscored and gave up 3 goals and 2 on the PP. We just were out played in the third and outshot and took far too many penalties. I love the fact we won-but this was not the team that played last night. Hope the coach can figure out why.

Sloppy win beats losin

Over RPI's long and storied hockey history, they have won many games against long-time college hockey powerhouses like BU, BC, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

But I believe this is the first time RPI has ever beaten Niagara. Unless I missed something, I believe they were 0-3 before tonight.

Agree 100% with Wicked Slappaahs. It sure beats losing. :D

With the win, RPI goes to 2-4-0 all time against Niagara. It's just that we hadn't beaten them since 1997 (http://augenblick.org/rpi/h_rvo.html)

Re: Niagara @ RPI 10/23/10

Thanks for correcting me, Tricky.

I did look at the augenblick site before making my post. I laboriously went through the "Record by Season," and obviously missed a couple of games.

I somehow failed to notice the "Record vs. Opponents" section, which would have made things a lot easier. :o
