Re: NHL Playoffs 2013 - Walruses, Trolls and other assorted creatures.
Nice win by Sens.
Finally a double OT game.

What a great win by the Wings!
The third period left me wishing for a little better officiating, but it was equaly awful. The missed boarding call was huge; if it was called as it should have been (it's a textbook example) play should have stopped when Kane touched the puck.Hands down the cleanest called game of the playoffs, which is hard to do with nearly every game having so many magnanimous refs who are just focused on raising the level of play and quality of officiating.![]()

And even I'll admit that the no-goal call on Shaw was suspect, and likely called as much to make up for the missed boarding call.
Agreed. Somewhere Tomas Holmstrom was smiling.
Only thing worse than the officiating was the 'Hawks homer doing TV color commentary for NBC.
I heard Eddie Olzcyk was pretty *ing quiet in the last 10 minutes of the game. I get CBC, so I wouldn't know.![]()

He's my favorite player and all, and I know Zetterberg is doing a hell of a job, but.. WHERE THE HELL IS TOEWS?!
Over/under on Pierre uttering "He's a special (man/person)" tonight is 6. Is that too high or too low?

This happened to the Wild a few times in the regular season. The refs probably missed it. It happens.Chara gets a stick in the face. How does the ref not make a call with blood trickling down his face ?? 0-0 after 1 period.
I like it when a team scores as Pierre is the middle of ranting about how much they suck.
Shut up, Pierre.
