Intention is the key. The rule does remove all judgement calls, which I like in general, but c'mon. This rule needs to go.

It's a skill that is being learned. The NCAA, NFHS, USA Juniors don't call it. USAH Youth is not for NHL players, coaches, or refs. You want the players to learn to go high off the glass. If you don't teach the skill at the youth levels, it's a missing skill when they get to the higher levels.

if you deliberately shoot it out of the rink, then yes - minor, but those will be few and far between.

If the pens win this, I could easily see them winning the series.
