Re: NHL Playoffs 2013: Shut up, Pierre...

Crawford isn't that good. Unfortunately, the Wings are making him look like a multiple Vezina Trophy winner.
:banghead:

The Wild showed Crawford's every strength, and the Wings are trying to prove the Wild wrong. ;)

Re: NHL Playoffs 2013: Shut up, Pierre...

For those too busy to take their hands away from their eyes while listening to this Wings/Hawks game... the Grand Rapids Griffins are being curb stomped 3-0 midway through the second by the <strike>Edmonton Oilers</strike> OKC Barons.

Re: NHL Playoffs 2013: Shut up, Pierre...

End of two, and it's still 1-0 Blackhawks thanks to Jimmy Howard keeping the Wings in this.

Without him, the score is Ditka to zip.

Debating if I finish watching this debacle, or MLB.tv and suffer even more as the Brewers and Braves are losing too.

This one is not over until the clock reads 0:00.00. Or later.

Detroit's skill guys can tie this or take the lead faster than you can say "Tony Esposito".

That said, the short bench seems to have them dragging late in the second. I say their best chance to tie it up comes in the first 10 minutes of the third.

PS Go Blackhawks.

When Cory Emmerton has the two best 5-on-5 chances, and all he can do is put it into the breadbasket (as is to be expected), you'll have that.

The Wings are playing a very solid game. Flip a coin on this one. I still say they get the next one.

How 'bout if I say Pit Martin?

You guys jinxing each other is like that episode of South Park where no one wanted to win.

After years of top draft picks for the Oilers, that's not a shocker. Are all of their high second and third-rounders racking up points?

Mrazek got the mediocre Griffins this far, and still has a lot of potential as a trade piece. If not for their playoff run, he'd be in a suit and tie in Chicago tonight instead of ex-eNeMaU Coreau. p

If by 'solid' you mean that a majority of their SOG have come from the outside the blueline, and they've been playing an interference/attrition game of trying not to lose, then sure.

You may well be right on that second comment.

Re: NHL Playoffs 2013: Shut up, Pierre...

Holy Jeebus.

Zetterburg had about 12 feet of net to put that into.

Re: NHL Playoffs 2013: Shut up, Pierre...

Coreau's not there. He had shoulder surgery and hasn't been with the team this round.

Ben Eager from Andrew Hotham (EV)
Josh Green unassisted (EV)
Philippe Cornet from Brandon Davidson and Jonathan Cheechoo (EV)
All within an eight minute span of the first.

Re: NHL Playoffs 2013: Shut up, Pierre...
