NHL 2016.2: An All-Canada Final (Playoffs and Off-season)

I always loved the Nordiques home whites. Along with the North Stars they had the most crisp combo of white and color of all time.

I've always, always felt the Hawks/Sioux head sweaters were the most overrated.

The Nordiques added a tiny tint of blue to their whites, which fools our dumb human eyes into seeing it as super-white. I loved it.

No love for the Bruins but that goaltender interference call should have been reversed and they should have won 15 mins into ot 1.

Went with the on ice call. It was 50/50 once it went to Toronto.

BTW, can't understand why Pastrnak is not nicknamed "Boris".

And Bergeron takes a penalty...

This game will end on an own goal on a delayed penalty.

Good thing the Bruins didn't get eliminated from that bad call.

On a different note- once again, Props to NBC's announcers- for constantly telling us which US college players went to. Barely hear of the other sources, always hear about what NCAA teams players come from. Really great to hear.

It would have been even better if they mentioned guest host Brian Gionta when to BC. Who I mostly remember because of 1) we beat him in '98 (which was a VERY long time ago, for a player to be still playing- so GREAT for him!) and 2) some drunk guy on the subway we were on after that game constantly said his name. Guess I just have to settle seeing MSU alumn Anson Carter on the analysis team.

Where will the Islanders move to? Do I take the #7 or the LIRR??

I'm so glad I blew that Popsicle stand 35 years ago. L.I. is hideous under normal circumstances, and when local politics gets involved it's more corrupt and cynical than usual.

The ideal outcome is the Yotes move to Hamilton, then the Isles move to Phoenix in 2020 just in time for me to retire.

F-ck The Island -- it doesn't deserve the franchise.

Islanders straight to PQ.

Less obnoxious people than Brooklyn.

As tactical nuclear strikes go, after Boston and, well, the entire South, the NYC SMSA is third as long as the Mets are on the road.

At this point, is there a place in this country, outside of an Ivy League university, that you don't have some reason to nuke? :p

Interesting. Wild down 2 with 11 minutes to go in the game and they get it to OT. Just another tease i'm sure.

They fell apart in March. Didn't get the ship righted in time for the playoffs. Too bad, you could see they were slowly getting better again.

Anyway, screw the Blues. Screw Nashville as well. That series is going to be one big snoozefest.
