NHL 2016.1 -- Anyone have a Laine on a new Auston?

Didn't realize Nyquist was that dirty of a player...what a piece of ****. He should get about 10 games and hefty fine for what he did.

I don't think he is that dirty a player but that certainly was a dirty play. He certainly isn't a brad Marchand type player. He deserves what ever he gets for suspension.

Bruins fire Claude Julien. Presser at 1130, in the middle of the Pats parade.

Bruce Cassidy in.
And proceed to win 3 straight scoring 14 goals in the process. Julien's clown show system gone like a fart in a high wind.

I'm guessing Nyquist will get 10 games for the obvious intent to injure.

If he was Canadian, he'd only get 5 though. ;)

I'm thinking it's going to be in the 10-15 range.

Four. But it will be a really, really stern talking to ensuring Goose will not ever do it again. Also, Goose will lay on the Swedish accent thick in his apology to the DoPS to help his cause.

When you're called on the carpet to NY it's at least 5 games.

If the infraction might require a suspension of six games or more, the offending Player is offered the opportunity to an in-person hearing. In this case, the Player remains suspended until the hearing takes place. If the Player waives his right to an in-person hearing, the hearing will be conducted by phone.

Straight from DoPS FAQ page. In practice, it's probably likely that it results in 5 games or more in virtually all cases, but it is not mandatory.

With the Wings being DFL in the East, and no sign of things improving, I think I will be glad to see the playoffs streak come to an end.

I spoke to an NHL player tonight.
They all feel 10. Which means more like 5.

Herr Bettman will make a bad decision.

For real, watching it, as a non-Wild fan (my second team, I suppose), it should be 15~. But fairly, 10. A 5 game would be symbolic suspension. No suspension (which is darn near impossible at this stage in the game) would be laughable.

I'm dumb here, who is your first team

NJ Devils, invoked when the North Stars left. I became a free agent, per sports' fans rules. And I hearted me some Marty Brodeur. :)

To be honest, though, I've long lost interest in the NHL compared to where I used to be. More involved in the college game.

I am. 25 years and 4 Cups is pretty #$(*%(* good. Bruins went on for 29 years with two Cups very early on, and the Blackhawks did 28 years with squat.

I would've liked to have pushed past the also Cup-less Blues, but thems the breaks.

WOAH! Woah! Woah, woah, woah. You've stated for a long time here, that your boy was Zelepukin.

I'm gonna go with 8 games. Gets a minor break for a clean history, but far from a slap on the wrist because it was an ugly, reckless offense.

Nice! I used to go to a lot of their games when I lived in NYC. A certain ex gopher used to leave me tickets :)

I'm still a free agent fan after the North Stars left. I just haven't really found a team I fully enjoy watching.

I did. Pavel Bure and the Canuck's. Hate the Canuck's now but that was my team. Still ticked the Rangers knocked them off.

I pretty much gave up on the NHL after the North Stars left town. When the Wild were announced I got a little excited, but then they announced the coach and I just didn't want to pay to watch trap hockey. So a college fan is all I am now, with a mere passing interest in the NHL.
