Ron Wilson made a rare appearance in TSN1050 today. He threw Phil Kessel under the bus, train, and the zamboni saying that Phil plays good for two weeks and then takes a vacation for two weeks.

Then Tom Watters gets on and relates that the Leafs asked Phil to play left wing. Phil said no.

I smell a trade.

So has Harding's MS flared up again? They mentioned weeks ago he was starting to practice, but I haven't heard anything for awhile. The Wild could really use a hot goalie for a change.

Wings get the (presumable) game winner with 34 seconds left against Edmonton. Abdelkader from Datsyuk on a 4 minute PP.

Edit: Nevermind, give Datsyuk the goal, Abby never touched it. Oilers kicked it in their own net.

Not sure that Nonis could get a bag of pucks for the Thrill after Wilson slagged him and he had his locker room meltdown. <strike>Phaneuf</strike> Pylon isn't going anywhere with his ridiculous contract and JVR and Kadri might be the only ones on the trade table. So Horachek as interim coach (supposedly for the rest of the season) and whoever comes in (Babcock, McLellan, Bylsma, DeBoer are my top candidates) will be stuck with basically the same lineup that cost Carlyle his job.

I'm sure someone could be suckered into trading for Kessel. However, the Leafs would probably have to take someone else's overpriced disappointment in return, and there's no more burying those salaries in the minors, so...

I don't want another overpriced disappointment - Elisha already has one! :D Two if you count the Lupul rumor.

I want a power forward like Getzlaf or Kesler, even Lucic. They're not that hard to find.....oh who am I kidding? :rolleyes:

I joked with my wife about this... but... do the Wings offer a throwaway pick to the Blues for Brodeur? Elliott's now healthy, and Allen has been good for them. Brodeur is the third wheel in that organization right now. Osgood mentioned on the telecast that Monster still doesn't feel quite right, but HAS been skating with the team. There seems to be a two week (at minimum) window that the Wings would need to fill with Mrazak and McCollum/Coreau. Brodeur *could* be a stop-gap during that window.
