BLUES WIN!

NEVER STOP. PUSH. WIN.

LET'S GO BLUES

guys the blues won

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

That's the kind of series win that can springboard a team the rest of the playoffs

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Tampa/Islanders will begin game 1 Wednesday, before Anaheim and Nashville begin game 7. Wasn't expecting that to play out.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

On the whole, the Blues were better in third periods. In the end, that made the small, but decisive difference. Congrats to the Blues; good luck to them the rest of the way.

Enduring Images:
1. Former Blackhawk Brouwer gets three tries in the slot; backhand on the third is the charm.
2. Seabrook slapper, the would-be 3rd Blackhawks Goal, hits both posts, stays out.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

The Hawks need the rest.

Of course I wanted to win, but as I stated earlier in the thread, they just didn't seem to have "it" this season and might as well get on with the offseason if you're not gonna win the Cup. Series victories for this group mean nothing.

A number of Hawks will be in the World Cup too, so time to recuperate and get ready for another run next year or the year after.

Yup. Memo to Blackhawks Players: Get to the cottages ASAP. Don't even think about hockey. For as long as possible.

Again, agreed. I've been worried about the World Cup factor for a while now. I've always enjoyed international play, but my current mindset is that I wish next September's event didn't exist. Of course there's no choice but to deal with it, like any other form of adversity...

Don't forget the World Championships that begin this weekend in Russia. Teams USA & Canada could use the Hawks.

Hang a banner in 29 arenas!!! :D

I get it. I wouldn't root for us either if I wasn't a fan.

Perhaps, but no hockey fan can deny they are **** fun to watch. The Rubix Cube offense was clicking on all cylanders in the second. They just couldn't quite get that third one across.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Don't know what the circumstances were but chicago could use a guy like nick leddy to round out their defense

Mostly Cap - he was gonna get paid and the Hawks couldn't have afforded him.

Q never really loved him either, but it was mostly Cap.

It's not about fun to watch. Most people don't want to see the same team win over and over.

The Hawks have won more than their share of one-goal playoff games in recent years. I like the Hawks too, but they were playing with house money.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

Steve Rosenbloom is calling the Blackhawks chokers. What an ***-hat. Where's an Andrew Shaw cross-check when you need one?

I know chokers, and the Hawks definitely didn't choke. They just didn't have the same crazy voodoo magic they've had in previous years (as a Cardinals fan, I also know crazy voodoo magic). It's not normal to come back from 3-1 deficits. It's not normal to be 17-4 (or whatever the real number is) in elimination games. It is normal to lose every once in a while, and they lost. **** happens.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

NHL and EA are teaming up for the cover vote for NHL 17. Your choices are:
Joe Pavelski, Anze Kopitar, Aleksander Barkov, Jamie Benn, Connor McDavid, Jakub Voracek, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Victor Hedman.

No John Scott in the nominations. Or Panarin. Or Larkin. Or a bunch of much better options.

EA also released their teaser video for NHL 17. Looks like they're adding relocation to Be-A-GM mode (Halifax, Hartford, and Hamilton were all available cities to move to). I almost wish EA would just switch to a two year development cycle and offer just a "roster update" for $40 in the off years. It's sorta what they do now, but it seems like every year they break a feature just to add a feature.
