I think the linesman should get at least 5 for not keeping his head up.

And maybe another 5 for embellishment.

Life is good for the MVP.

The denouement to the John Scott story is equally happy as Sunday’s wild and uplifting climax in Nashville.

The NHL All-Star Game MVP’s wife, Danielle, gave birth to healthy twin girls in Michigan, Estelle Vera and Sophia Leland. Scott now has four, proud young daughters.

That's a pretty tough week to beat.

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

I was hoping for a John Scott write-up in the print SI, but all they gave him was his smiling face on the up arrow in the "Hot/Not": "Vote in a fighter and a hockey player breaks out."

Well, the Wild are toast. Good thing the Gophers are.... Awww crap.

I hate that I was born in Minnesota, and that I'm loyal as a dog. Grrrrrrr

Re: NHL 2015-16: John Scott for MVP!

No, Mickey Redmond, you're flat-out wrong.

That is exactly the kind of neutral zone interference we need to take out of the game. The first guy to hit Glendening was finishing his check after Glendening dumped it in. Fine. No quarrel with that check at all. The 2nd hit from the 2nd player, 5 feet later, was textbook interference.

Leafs trade Captain Dion Phaneuf to the Senators in a 9 player trade. No salary retained.

Toronto is thrilled to not only get rid of him, but to send him to the rival! They know it's already a huge benefit that he's wasting space on their (Sens) blue line.
