I don't see how that's an apples-to-apples comparison given that games 39-48 last season were in the middle of the year and this year they were the last ten.

I thought this was the thread about how to cherry pick stats to make whatever point you were after. ;)

How are the last 10 games in an 82 game season apples to apples with the last 10 in a 48 game season?

Because they're both showing how a team is performing in the couple of weeks immediately before the playoffs? Isn't that kind of obvious?

Because it's such a condensed season, you can't compare last year to this year. The Wild could have just been in a stretch of bad games, and ended up finishing higher or missing the playoffs entirely in an 82 game season for all we know....

Sure, but it's not an 82 game season, and in this season they're playing roughly .500 hockey in the period of time leading up to the playoffs.

Hopefully the Sharks can bring their skill of picking up 2 points via SOWs to use in the playoffs.
