Re: NHL 2012: The Chase for the Cup

Back to this for a moment and I know you're just yanking my chain a little.
...
Healthy rivalry dislike for the Wings, total disdain for the Canucks (entire organization including GM & coach).
Yep, just yanking your chain. Why is it I always get into healthy discussions of the Blackhawks/their fan base with the sensible Blackhawk fans? Ugh.

Change of thought.

Shanahan fining Weber and potentially suspending Bitz (pending hearing) is a *ing joke.
Cap Geek tweeted the following:
@capgeek: #NHL Shea Weber fined $2,500 from his $7.5m salary — applying the same ratio to someone making $50,000, that's $16.

Re: NHL 2012: The Chase for the Cup

So you're vomunteering to do that?:o I'm decen with spreadsheets but not great with te functions. Hell if you write the formulas into a workbook, email it to me and I'll do all of the recording:p

Praying Toews plays tonight!!

If you dig through a few pages, you'll be able to find his RPI Pick to Click spreadsheet, which is pretty much formatted exactly that way. You would have to remove all of the old info and put in all the new as it comes though, and I don't know how easy that would be.

EDIT: I'll save you the legwork, it's in post #561 here.

Just go to their (our) message boards. There's a multitude of idiots.

I played pick to click for awhile and figured it was something similar. I'll look into it tonight if I get a chance.

Also Weber being fined a mere 2,500 is an absolute disgrace.

Nah. My posting mirrors the Canucks. I'll wait until the opposing fans show up where I am, I'll start chirping and instigate, then turtle and skate away when they respond. :D

Re: NHL 2012: The Chase for the Cup

Shanahan's going to look like a GD idiot when he suspends Bitz later today for hitting Clifford during action.

Edit: And for the full tin-foil experience, the NHL is "upset" that the refs missed the offside on the Flyers' first goal.

No similar apology was made for missing Clowe's stick last week, or a similar Bertuzzi goal against the Sharks in last year's playoffs. Of course, those teams don't have Crysby.

Never mind what I wrote about respecting Kesler. Guess I was just remembering his Olympic performance and his battle with Toews last year in the first round.

You can see Richards giving him the jerk-off sign afterwords. Awesome. :D Go Kings!

This. The NHL did a pretty decent job on cracking down on hits, etc. at the beginning of the season, and it looked like they might actually make a difference in the amount of unnecessary injuries. And I understand it's the playoffs, and a lot of whistles get swallowed. But this was blatant, at the end of the game, reviewed, everything. It sets a bad precedent for the next three months.

Since we are doing hate lists.

1. Pittsburgh (replacing normal #1 Philly because of the way they cry when they get hit, but then cheap shots. See also preferential league treatment and annoyingness of certain stars.)
2. Philadelphia (Well... because they are the Flyers.)
3. NewJersey (for that stupid trap setting the game back 20 years.)
4. The Isles (well... because Potvin still sucks. However, you feel sorry for them the way they have fallen off.)

Hypocrisy? You decide.

The Kings had to apologize for that Tweet. What a joke. On the same day Shea Weber is fined a pittance for hitting Zetterburg WWE-style, the Kings have to apologize for this. Disgraceful. NHL Justice at its best!

Whoever sent that message should be given a damm medal. The only people who have a problem with that Tweet are in Vancouver or the NHL offices. Kudos go out to whomever is in charge of the LA Kings twitter account.

Re: NHL 2012: The Chase for the Cup

Shanahan was doing just fine in cracking down. Until the NHL sat him down and told him to let up.

Vancouver's long since lost their beach side dunes because everyone in that city has hordes of sand stuffed in their collective vaginas.
