TSN just mentioned that a GM was asking for a #1 for a UFA winger who is, at best, a 3rd line player this season?

Boston is looking at moving picks and prospects. I feel that the Bruins are in position to over pay a little bit in trading a draft pick. The team is built for now and the future, so losing a 1st-3rd round pick won't be the worst thing in the world.

Now I have a complaint... How in the world can anyone in Canada drink Starbucks over Tim Hortons? I thought that, after beer, Tim's coffee was the #1 drink in the Great White North!

Also, early reports have Mike Commodore being traded to Tampa Bay. I hope he wears #64.

By the way...the Shop NHL commercial with all the jersey fouls is an abomination on this sport.

My brother-in-law is a Sabres fan and has a contact at SI who hooked him up. The seats were AWESOME.

The Wild have traded Nick Schultz to the Edmonton Oilers for Tom Gilbert. Schultz found out after the Oilers Tweeted it. The Wild locker room is pretty mad.

His official response was that "playing for Detroit is special", and he didn't want to get all gimmicky.

Some good that did. Hope Stevie Y has a use for him.

As a Badger/Wild fan, I'm loving the fact that Gilbert is now with the Wild. But I'm shocked that (1) Schultz was traded, since he's such a long standing and important part of that locker room and also that (2) Fletcher was so negligent in doing the right thing when it comes to telling him that he was traded.

Detroit has recalled Brendan Smith from GRR. Wings brass must think he is ready to compete with Kindl for playing time, and Commie was in the way.

Also, Daniel Winnik to the Sharks.

Who's Keith Aulie? They're talking all about him on Sportsnet, but I can't figure out whether that's just because it's the Leafs or whether he's someone I should've heard of. :confused:
