Apparently it costs 1MM-1.5MM to book Shakira for a performance.

A beer group that has a local Mediterranean place as a member was trolling them, to get them to hire her for weekend belly dancing (which they DO have on weekends; it's really art, not skanky). That joke just gathered steam hardcore, hilarity. :D

I doubt I'm in the demographic that the half time show was targeting seeing as I couldn't have picked Shakira out of a lineup. Muted it was OK:) I figured KC would blow 49ers off field, that didn't happen until the end but still happened. Mahomes is one of those guys that has "it" . Didn't understand why 49ers didn't try for some points at end of 1st half.

They did, but got called for OPI, and pretty much ruined their chance.

You all can have Shakira, I'll be quite pleased with J-Lo. I have a thing for Puerto Ricans... ;)

Both of them should inspire everyone to keep in good shape. Holy crap, both of the look amazing.

49ers coach never called time out. he let a bunch time go off clock before KC punted.

And had it not been for an OPI call, he had the ball inside the KC 20. Perhaps he planned it that way.

The other consideration is to have the ball last for half, especially since you get it first after half time. By not calling timeouts, Shanahan made sure he got the ball last, and Mahomes would no put a last min score on the board. Thus not giving up momentum going into the half. And realistically, that worked- as SF scored 10 before KC could do anything. KC didn't score until past halfway of the 4th quarter. That's when the game was really lost by SF- the fact that they only did a 3 and out after the score was the defining moment of the game. Perhaps KC would have scored anyway, but ONE first down would have at least meant that KC either lost multiple TO's and/or over 1:30 would be taken off the clock (40x3 + play time). That would have meant KC gets the ball later and/or less TO's.

The game wasn't lost due to lack of aggression before half, it was either the KC D stepping up big time, or Shanahan doing the opposite with the play calls in the last half of the last quarter of the game. Given that a strong running team threw the ball TWICE during those 3 plays tells me it was more Shanahan at that moment than anything else. They had the lead, they had the ball, they had a great running game. Why are you passing the ball??? Those passes should have either taken 41 seconds total, or resulted in a TO. Instead, two plays, 9 seconds.

Their defense didn't help them either. Lots of missed tackles, along with Mahomes being able to find the open man.

Based on the drive prior to that 3 and out, where Mahomes finally figured out the D, it was even MORE important to run the clock out. Why take one of the best run offenses off the table and put the game into the hands of a decent, but not great, QB. Against a D that has a great line- who could rush REALLY well.

Had he just run the ball outside at least on the second play, even going out of bounds would not have stopped the clock. Passing your way to a 3 and out and putting your D on the field again, who had just gotten figured out- that's no way to win a FB game.
