NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

I wouldn't say that. Other than the loss to the 49ers, the Vikings have looked respectable. Yes, they'll drop both games to the Packers this year, but I think they'll keep the games close and interesting.

Now the real question in the NFC North is this: Can playing the Bears be enough to get the Lions off the schneid this season? Are we looking at another 0-16 season? The last time they went 0-5 was The Year.

The Bears somehow are pulling a win or two out of their arses. I think the Lions lose to them. Why? They're the LIONS.

I don't even know what this means. He had clear possession and dove for the endzone because his team needed a touchdown. It's the dumbest rule in football.
He was falling, so instead of reaching out for the touchdown he needs to secure the ball. Because he dropped it while going to the ground, it is incomplete. This isn't that difficult to understand. You just don't like it I guess.

I think that's what JD is saying, that the rule should be changed so it is a catch.

Still six undefeated teams, but it seems to me that it's more that there are a lot of mediocre and bad teams than that the six are that good.

Never mind the Bears as Brent says, somehow the Broncos manage to keep finding wins up their collective arses and remain undefeated.

Who are we tanking for this year? That's what the Lions are doing.

Ballsy call nets Pittsburgh a win.

Idiotic play call by the steelers, but great effort by bell

I liked the call. Tomlin has his faults; playing too much by the book isn't one of them. Rolling out Vick gives you two ways to score, but right now Bell is his best player. If Pete Carroll used the same philosophy, he wouldn't be left to explain "good call, horrible result."

Johnny Bench gets pulled over after reports of a fight in the car with his gf. He had been drinking earlier in the day, but he was not drunk, according to police. No ticket/etc for him.

The hall of fame catcher or the wanna be heisman trophy winning qb?

Re: NFL 2015: Let's Talk About Balls

That would work. I liked the contrast in the identical names, for the lulz factor though....

The play on names is solid, but I'm not sure it's fair to conflate the real JBench with some area clown like Manziel. That's just a slap in the face to a guy who doesn't deserve it :).
