Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

I'm willing to bet that the NFL is about to get a series of unfavorable votes in Washington. There's a proposed bill in the Senate to remove the NFL of its tax-exempt status, and it was written prior to all of the negative publicity it's enjoyed this young season; McCain is one of the sponsors. And there's something else going on that I can't recall, only that the NFL is facing a three-beat in regards to votes.

Nooooo! Now I'll have to watch Raiders games.

Cool story: Back in I think 2006, when there was a Colts-Patriots game where both were undefeated, the Raiders-Texans game was going to be shown instead, but not if the game didn't sell out. So people on TV/radio were encouraging people NOT to buy tickets so the game would get blacked out. It did end up getting blacked out and everyone lived happily ever after.

Relax grasshopper. Each league may set its own broadcast policies. The FCC has never had jurisdiction in Canada, yet the NFL can black out Bills games in Toronna.

Do we really want to export that crap to them?

Gruden to Oakland????? MNF would bring in (who?) to be an analyst.

Love how they keep showing Bridgewater like he's a 10 year veteran pro bowl quarterback who would have been the difference in this game instead of the rookie who had one nice start that he is.

Is this espn?

Packers up 28-0 and all they're talking about is Manziel... er... Bridgewater.

Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

I suppose it's payback for all the years of gunslinger/just loves to play the game Favre coverage that everyone else had to endure. That got nauseating for me too.

Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

Insert weekly joke about how the cast of the Big Bang Theory could put up a better fight than the losing team.

Re: NFL 2014-15: Iron Fist Getting Rusty?

CBS has gotta be mad so far. Only one okay game all season for TNF. Not the best way of spending 250 million. Plus I think they're actually on the hook for producing games in the second half even though they'll only air on the NFLN.

Until that drop, I had honestly forgotten that Jennings was even on the Vikings.
