Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Seems like now the league is policing injuries more than penalties. Favre last week and Collie this week were clean hits that resulted in an injury. Polian will be in the rules committee demanding a rule that only one DB at a time can hit a Colts receiver.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Wonder if Jerry is telling his Boys to take a dive for a top pick. All he needs to do is tie with Buffalo or Carolina for the least amount of wins and he'll have #1 pick. We all know the coin flip will be rigged if it comes down to one because the league can hype a Dallas #1 pick more than a Carolina or Buffalo #1 pick.

If Jerry wants the 1-pick, all he needs to ask his team to do is everything they can with what they've got.

At least Seattle knows they're bad.

Exactly right.

I get to use one of my favorite quotes on Jerry's Kids.

Does this mean you're going to stop obsessing over Thierry Henry now, since you seem to have a new thing to post about every five minutes until everyone gets tired of it and tells you to shut up?

Yeah, why not. Sorry to everyone about dead horse beating of Theirry. As for the Bills, you can't turn your eyes away from that train wreck. I call it MST3K Therapy when it comes to Buffalo. I'd go insane if I didn't riff on them. It's either this or throwing my plasma TV out the window and the fiance might have me killed for that one. I do apologize for my constant grumbling. I'll try to bite my tongue a little. Sorry, jmh and Gophers.

Reports starting to come out that Wade has been fired.

obviously long over due; but what is the deal with jerry jones here? at 1-5 (with romo) and 1-6 he says wade's job is safe, but at 1-7 (with kitna) it suddenly isnt? nothing changed over there; did he really think the cowboys would turn it around at some point? the time to punish the coach has long since passed; if anything phillips just got him a much better draft pick!

whatever. i wonder if cowher will be stupid enough to touch that role (or will he wait for childress to be fired instead)

I don't think this is case of just losing one more game, but a case of Philips losing the team.

This is now all about sending a message to the fan base. Of course, the message he means to send (Losing is unacceptable and I'm going to hold people accountable) may not be the one that's received (The ship is sinking...let's rearrange these deck chairs).

Who was that I told Wade would be fired? It was either Brent or Shirtless Guy. They told me I was crazy because Jerry Jones had never fired a coach mid season before...my response was "Neither had Joel Maturi"

Now if only Jerry could come up and fire Chan Gailey. He's got experience at it. :D

i suppose. but again, was this team not equally lost after the jax game? i guess he wanted to give wade the benefit of the doubt (or he stupidly believed they would win out until romo came back). but either way, i hate when a guy keeps giving a coach a vote of confidence after every week and then suddenly fires him.

is there gonna be a fine to the philly player who "hit" collie in the head? looked to me like one defender hit him cleanly into the other defender, causing the head to head contact. very unfortunate, but those are the types of collisions that i don't think should be penalties.
