So if the Pats finally sent Favre into permanent retirement does that mean people will still hate them? :p

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

I'll be upset if his streak of going out with an interception gets broken by this injury.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Even if Favre does have a broken face, I bet the Cards would take him. Max Hall with two INT TDs today, and then Anderson does that.

I don't want to dislike Favre. I didn't exactly stand up and cheer when he got lit up. But for gawd's sake...Favre could have retired a couple seasons ago and been the toast of the league. Like the old drunk driving PSA - know when to say when. ::shakes head::

Yeah, beause he had no business being in the league last season. He was terrible.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

No, it's not that. Never mind last season, he's better than a bunch of QBs THIS season.

It's just that so few players have the opportunity to have a long career AND to get out while they're still on top of their game. Favre is a legend. Larger than life. I don't want to see him show up, play effective for a while but then not get the job done . . . getting injured and leaving on a cart in the fetal position. Because he's not able to take those hits anymore, or too gimpy in the legs/ankles to avoid the brunt of the collision. That's not Brett Favre.

I hate the Pats less now that Fourve got knocked out.

Bills have a trap game on the quest for the perfect season against Jay Cutler and the Bears in Toronto.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

so sunday night football was royally ruining my day until mendenhall busted that TD run and the Brees threw one to someone other than Colston...now I'm up about 13.5 points and my opponent has Andre Johnson...MNF is probably going to be another nailbiter. Kenny Britt is a ***** for pulling his groin and not returning to the game! that definitely hurt me but we shall see.

Still getting shutout. Down 29-0. Am rooting for the shutout now. Can't win with Walter/Hart. So I would rather have the record for most points ever, and least points ever.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

whats the most points record?

71. That was the year I had Addai, MJD, one of the CAR backs, LT. I think I had 7 rush tds that week along with 3-4 pass tds, etc.

For the uninformed, our league's avg scoring has been about 25-30 for the last decade.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Looks like I'm romping in all three of my leagues! Sweet, at least something this weekend doesn't suck.

League 1: Up 157.52 - 100.74, opponent has Jacoby Jones going tomorrow night. My MVP: Tempting to say Matt Stafford, but I've gotta go with Tampa Bay D, picked up as a bye week fill-in and got me 23.64 points thanks largely to two defensive TDs. Honorable mention to Stafford (33.48) and Jamaal Charles (23.8).

League 2: Up 149.96 - 46.72, opponent has Matt Schaub going tomorrow night. My MVP: Calvin Johnson, 28.1 points on 101 yards and 3 TDs. Honorable mention to Stafford (27.6) and Charles again (23.8). And TO (18.5), and Antonio Gates (18.3), and... really everybody. (This is a fairly low-scoring league, 150 points is a massive week.)

League 3: Won 161.53 - 100.96. My MVP: Co-MVPs for Johnson, 38.6 points under this league's scoring system, and Brandon Lloyd, 35.9. Honorable mention to Jon Kitna (22.08).

Also for the uniformed, Brent's league may be the dumbest in the history of Fantasy Football.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Just a random thought, I wonder how much the NFL would love it if the Cowboys got the #1 pick in the draft. They could hype that a lot more than say a Buffalo, Carolina or someone else. Hmmmm....

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

I'm beating Brent 79.90-41.14 in the USCHO league. and I still have Arian Nation, Andre Johnson, and wait for it....Peyton Manning to go.

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Back to the Pats? I heard a rumor he met with Kraft this morning...

Re: NFL 2010: Now Extended By Two More Posts

Does anyone know how exactly Waivers work in this case? I've never fully understood it, but aren't things complicated because he's a Veteran?
