Newbie Team Guide to the Frozen Four

Patman

Rodent of Unusual Size
Four teams, most of whom likely haven't been there before or haven't in eons.

Man, I need info and I need it quick. What's usually available, what's usually going on?

Most importantly, what will my school be able to offer for options, typically.

Re: Newbie Team Guide to the Frozen Four

I am interested in the on site ticket sales, I can only go on Thursday, and was wondering if ticket "bargains" can usually be found on semi-final game day at the site. Lousy seats are averaging $100 bucks for the day online.

Judging by the likely field, you should be able to buy tickets for pennies on the dollar outside the arena on Thursday.

Re: Newbie Team Guide to the Frozen Four

Try to get tickets through your school. Can be tough to get but then you'll sit with your section at the games. They'll sell you a ticket pack for the whole weekend.

Any tickets can be had for the right price at any event through scalpers in person or online.

You'll be correct if Union and Miami lose today. :)
Wrong. He'll be correct if Union OR Miami lose today. (I think 75 percent counts as most by any standards)

I think a Frozen Four entirely comprising teams that have never been there before would be awesome.

But was it called the Frozen Four then? Technicality!

According to that great source Wikipedia, the name "Frozen Four" was only coined in 1999.
The tournament itself was only 4 teams through 1976, and didn't go to 8 teams until 1981.

Re: Newbie Team Guide to the Frozen Four

Kinda cool that not only are they new to the FF, but they're relatively obscure schools generally. I'd bet that if you ran the names of the four schools past the mythical man on the street, the only one he'd recognize would be Yale.
