New Hampshire at Boston University, Saturday night

BU 0 UNH 3, Period 2

BU 0 UNH 3, Period 2

28 seconds to play, hooking penalty on UNH. Borisenok.

Re: New Hampshire at Boston University, Saturday night

Crazy UNH PP there... BU hits the post off a 2x1 rush... then Sislo comes back the other way and Rollheiser robs Sislo. Game is wayyyyy open now. UNH is now 0-4 on the PP and Borisenok goes to the box for hooking with 0:28 left in the 2nd period. BU back to the PP.

Re: New Hampshire at Boston University, Saturday night

Shattenkirk missed a wide open net according to BU radio. Hit the side of the net.

It was wide open but he was 6 inches off the goal line so he hit the side of the post. Watching the replay, it would probably have been waved off with Saponari in the crease and preventing Foster from getting back anyway.

BU 0 UNH 3, 2nd Intermission

BU 0 UNH 3, 2nd Intermission

No... he ripped it right off the left post.
UNH radio wasn't sure how it stayed out either, they thought it may have been blocked. So, in real time it must have happened pretty fast?

This beer is making my foggy head a little more foggy, but I also feel a bit better so I'm counting that as a small victory.

BU 0 UNH 3, 2nd Intermission

BU 0 UNH 3, 2nd Intermission

SOG were 16-7 that period in favor of UNH.

Re: New Hampshire at Boston University, Saturday night

Is that our third pipe tonight? No puck luck.

At least two I can recall... Foster has been good, though. He has been very square to the shooter and he is a big kid anyhow.

But you do need puck luck sometimes and BU has not had much.

Kinda... I mean it was a 2 or 3 x 1... and everyone on UNH was chasing hard and the BU guys knew it.... the momentum of Shattenkirk put him nearly even with the goal line by the time he shot it. It would have had to be a perfect shot to score despite the net being open for a split second.

Re: New Hampshire at Boston University, Saturday night

I'm really glad it's on NHL network (which I don't get), not MSG. My TV might have a remote-sized hole in it by now if it was on MSG.

I think Voros has two penalties tonight both for checks, or being hit after the whistle. That's not a typo. HE got hit after the whistle and got a penalty.
