NESCAC 2025-2026: Don't Call it a Comeback

That's the Middlebury we wanted to see. A very good game from the Panthers. Quick to push for the lead, took control of the game, strong defense and goaltending to really limit any Conn College threat. Thought the Panthers were physical when needed but also played better, faster hockey. Did the same against Tufts. As the large freshman class gets used to college hockey, hopefully there's room to get better.

By the way, the new Middlebury sweaters are class.

And good to hear @vtpuckfan's comments on the team's support for Coach Ceglarski. A welcome change from some points in the Sinclair era, perhaps.

The top of the NESCAC looks really competitive, with Hamilton and Bowdoin in particular. But Middlebury showing that it may have potential.

The tournament on Fri-Sat will be an indicator. If they can skate with Plattsburgh, then we may have a program on the rise. If they give up soft goals and take unnecessary penalties then the Cardinal will have their way with the Panthers. A Norwich or Stevenson game the next night will be telling, too.

It looks like Midd defeated Platts 5-2 although I could not find a link to watch the game. Two goals appeared to be ENG. The game looked like it was going to be on the LEC Network and cost money, but I could not find it. Maybe the final vs Norwich or Stevenson will be available tomorrow? Midd outshot Platts and scored 2 PP goals while allowing 1. Midd had the advantage in faceoffs. but did commit 6 minor penalties. This is optimistic stuff. Maybe Platts isn't quite the team they have been in past years, but anytime Midd beats them, that is a good sign.

The link was on the Norwich site, BUT there was a paywall and you had to subscribe for 6 months !!

https://go.flocollege.com/partner/lec - This was the link I found. Signing up for Flo College was either $107 for an annual payment or $19.99 for a month. Given the number of games in the LEC I'm planning on watching, I'm not really interested in having Flo College show me more ads.

Yes, I was watching the live stats. That seems to be correct. I'm glad Midd seems to be playing better as well

I saw the link for the Norwich-Stevenson game, but there was no link for the Midd-Platts game. Why have a holiday tournament if you are not going to have access to it for out of towners?
