Nebraska-Omaha @ North Dakota - Friday

Re: Nebraska-Omaha @ North Dakota - Friday

There's still another period...you never know the Sioux may come back from the dead.

Re: Nebraska-Omaha @ North Dakota - Friday

Just looked and it could very well end up being this one. We've never allowed more than 7 goals in a game at REA, and the worst loss is by 6 goals...happened once against Mankato and once against Minnesota. Both of those games were 6-0 defeats.

End of 2.

7-1 UNO.

SOG:
UND - 19
UNO - 27 (21 in the 2nd period)

I imagine Hak will throw a few of his famous "F" bombs in the locker room.:D

Re: Nebraska-Omaha @ North Dakota - Friday

and to think this game was 2-1 not long ago

Yeah, that was quite a turnaround. Scoring 3 goals on the nonstop 5x3's was unbelievable. It seemed like the Sioux gave up after Eids got in the game...not a good sign.

Anytime you go 5 for 6 on the powerplay you're not going to lose.

This has to be a result of a letdown after the Gopher series. We need to have a solid third to take some momentum into tomorrow's game.

I don't know what it is but they need to get this out of their system. Hak said during the pregame that practice has been good the last couple weeks but not great. Whatever the problem is, need to get things going again and play like they are capable of.

They've played poorly all around. Dell did not play well, and Eidsness came into a terrible situation and wasn't able to right the ship. Our D left our goalies out to dry and our forwards haven't been able to generate much action. Add that up and you get 7-1 UNO.

I hope we can at least get a couple on the board and make it a 7-3 or 7-4 game to grab momentum going into tomorrow. Saying that, I think it's far more likely that we'll see 2 or 3 UNO goals given what we saw in the first two periods. At the very least, I'd like to see them come out in the third and play like they care.
