Assuming we still share an employer, their guidance is this:
Required self-quarantine

If an employee has recently returned from China, South Korea, Japan, Italy or Iran, whether on business or personal travel, a mandatory 14-day quarantine is required. Company’s GHR will monitor all self-quarantines. Please note the following protocols are now active regarding quarantined employees:

• Self-quarantined employees can work from home if they have funded work that can be done remotely.
• Employees returning from business travel who cannot work remotely should work with their manager and HR for specific time-charging guidance. With most travel to impacted areas restricted, these cases should not be common.
• Employees who require self-quarantine following personal travel who cannot work remotely can use PTO or be provided a charge number on a case by case basis.

We just got a letter to sign an attestation we have been no where in the level 3 countries and our cohabitors haven't been here either.

Which from what I read elsewhere was BS. The FDA monitoring of testing was to prevent another Theranos from gaming the system. It can be avoided if an emergency is declared to bypass it, but the administration simply didn't do that fast enough.

That is exactly what I said.

If you self-quarantine, burn your PTO, we aren't going let you ride OH even though it's not your fault. I don't know about you but neither I nor anybody I work with is permitted to telework. If you're lucky enough to work outside a SCIF, hey, great for you, but company-wide 80% of even those people can't telework unless they have one of these in their garage:

The patient is an older Ramsey County resident who had been on a cruise ship with a known COVID-19 case. The unidentified person sought health care yesterday after developing symptoms on Feb. 25, according to the Health Department.

I'm a little worried though that the sponsors are a lightweight Member I've never heard of and the consensus Dumbest Person in a Senate Which Includes Tom Cotton. It would have been nice to have co-sponsorship from the leadership or indeed EVERY Dem except probably Joe I Subsist Entirely on Coal Mine Owners' Cum Manchin.

My niece in Minnesota is getting married in July. Her father (my brother) now lives in Seattle. Should we ban him from the wedding? :D :eek:

We have two people flying from Alaska (I'm guessing through Seattle...). One of them is in the wedding party. I have half a mind to talk to my fiancee and ask if we can pick up the change fee to have them fly direct.

We plan on having sanitizer out for the wedding (I bought a **** ton from my employer anticipating this :) ). I'm just absolutely terrified for my parents who are 67 and 70. I've already talked with my mom about prepping for this a few weeks ago. I told both of my parents that my fiancee and I will do all of their grocery shopping if this gets really bad.

Harvard tells all professors to prepare to teach online

I'm guessing it's only a matter of time before all universities cancel in-person classes until the fall. UW was the first, Harvard will soon follow, others I'm sure are already doing the same.

This is going to have long term unintended consequences. So many university classes could simply stay this way forever.
