It's the perfect time of the year where the cold north wins are less frequent than the warm southernly winds.Baku is beautiful this time of year.

Despite all this, it sounds like the new league is making good strides with officiating. I guess we wait to see how many guys will be crossing over from any existing leagues to work for Adam. But I already like they will have 3 dedicated Supervisors, which allows many more crews to be supervised. Should be a proactive culture, rather than reactive .... as was the case in the WCHA, with only Greg Shepherd
Give it a couple of years. Seriously, look at hockey at all levels, no one is happy with the officiating. It's easy to complain about officiating and easy to talk a big game when nothing has happened yet. Don Adam was widely looked at as a horrible ref and now he's looked at as an officiating savior? Hard to believe.
I personally don't think officiating is generally that big of an issue. It very rarely is. The game is just getting bigger, faster players and legit hits look worse and have the potential to turn dangerous very quickly. Refs very rarely decide games.
At all levels? NHL officials are widely considered the best officials of any pro sport. WCHA officals were brutal and most coaches in the league complained a lot. The reason they complained is because the league never did anything to make it better. The reason the new league is doing all this is because the programs in the league were sick of the way it use to be. Will the new officaiting be great? No, but over time it should be a lot better than it use to be in the WCHA.

Will it be better in your new conference? maybe, but everyone will still be complaining and then what excuse will you use.?

That was the strangest NCHC announcement ever. No press conference to announce the press conference to announce the date of the coming announcement? I'm not sure I like how the new NCHC just announces things. Can you go down the tubes before you even start?
I can't even work up any hatred or comedy about the NCHC anymore. I just feel for the teams that got suckered into it.
