Refs are never from either conference playing in the game during the tourney. in the past, that's usually worked against WCHA teams. More ticky-tacky calls are made now than in the WCHA games.

No, the player actions are going to make the refs call penalties. Those 3 penalties called were legitimate penalties. I would have been shocked to see them not called.
