NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

No adult beverages can be served at NCAA tourney events. Remember Bowl games are not a NCAA event and either are conference tourney's.

Will I be able to dance with the opposite sex? And, if yes, do I have to allow room for Jesus between us?

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

That makes sense, I was wondering what kind of event could keep a Husky fan from making it to these games. Tailgating sounds like a decent idea, I'd probably be game for Friday afternoon. I'll run it by the other 3 I'm going with. PM me with the details if you decide on it. TB, this is a better option than sitting at home beforehand plus it's cheaper than the bars.

We'd be up for some tailgaiting on Friday (group of 5). If it's a go can someone throw out the specifics? lot, time, etc.

It is possible they could figure out a way to be able to serve at the Iron Range Grill. At the Frozen 4, people may remember, there wasn't any alcohol served in the arena, but the Green Turtle bar attached to the arena, similar to how the Iron Range Grill is attached to the X, was still serving. We would all pack into the Green Turtle at intermission and have a quick drink or 2, then quickly get back into the arena before the game started again.

NMU Key(s) to the Game:
Score more goals than SCSU

"There's two teams here that want to win. When that happens, only one team can win."

"Nobody can beat us when we play like we play when we play."

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

"What do Huskies Dream of when they take a little Husky snooze? Do they dream of mauling Wildcats or Hallie Berry in her cat-women suit? Don't you worry my pretty blue eyed friend were going to get you Back to Motzko and your cozy husky bed . . . ."

Wildcats or wild*******?
Wow, they even censor the alternate word for cat, which starts with p and ends with ussy.
Anyone needing a colon cleansing before the game is on their own. I won't be able to bring the colo-rooter to this game. I would recommend a Fleet.

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

The key for NMU is Brian Stewart. NMU doesn't have the depth of the Huskies. They rolled two lines for a fair amount of the Michigan game. The Huskies can and will come at you with four lines until late in the game. From what I've seen, NMU's D zone coverage will give SCSU ample opportunities at Stewart. They looked like they were on a PK at times 5X5.

Against Michigan, NMU spent alot of time watching Michigan control the puck in the NMU zone. Unless you put a leash on guys like Roe and Lasch they'll eat you up. If you let Mosey do his thing with the puck he'll find a way to get it to somone in scoring position. And now Eddy is in a zone. Then you have to deal with Festler, Novak and Hanowski who can all score.

The Huskies don't need to score first. Lately, they seem to get stronger as the game goes on. If SCSU moves its feet they are very troublesome to play. However, there most likely will be a 5-10 minute lapse where they lose focus and stand around flat-footed. That'll be NMU's opportunity with guys like Olver and Kaunisto.

The Huskies need to clamp down on Olver. Huskies will be the home team so that'll help with matching Marvin's line with whoever is with Florek and Chemiwchan wether it's Olver or Kaunisto.

It doesn't matter who is in goal for the Huskies. Both are over 91% and both are capable. NMU doesn't have the snipers of many teams we play on a regular basis and they don't seem to generaye alot of SOG.

I'm concerned if it becomes a special teams affair. We don't win that battle.

This should be a very entertaining game.

It gets a little expensive even buying just the pop. I like the 60% whiskey to 40% pop ratio. Why beat around the bush. Planning on several (code language for 8) homemade bevvies, that is over $20 on pop. God, how sad. But then again, after 8, who the heck cares. Go Huskies!!!!!!!!!!

You could always make home-made Soda and sneak that in as well and just ask for a cup at the concession stand. or sneak one in too :p

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

We're due for a blow-out, so apparently the score will be Huskies 6, Wildcats 2. We'll do it to em Husky style, coming from behind.

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

There's two teams here that want to win.

Who said we wanna win? We've got a reputation to uphold!

The Huskies don't need to score first.

Exactly.... NMU, if we score twice within the first sixty seconds, don't worry, you've got us just where you want us.

First off, bando, are you gonna join us tailgating? It would be nice to meet one of the 3 college hockey/Wicked fans out there. :D

Second, everyone is saying NMU has to outshoot us. Hate to break it to you, 'cause I know you guys are good when you outshoot your opponent, but over the years we have a very impressive record when being outshot.

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

It was announced today Marquette can see the game live on ABC channel 10.
