Oh don't get me wrong, the first was a penalty, a penalty that was a good one to take. But the actuall "call" was wrong. Roughing, slashing....both would have been acceptable. And it explains why the guy was down for a bit. ;)

Wholeheartedly agree! A great season to be a Wildcat!

Good luck to SCSU tomorrow. That Lee kid is special. Hopefully you guys have something left in the tank for tomorrow.

To those Cats that return next year, remember the feeling you had getting to this point. More importantly, remember what you felt like right after the game. It could be great motivation for next season.

Rambling thoughts.

Crowd was massively disappointing. You don't have to be a diehard Husky fan to drive 70 miles.

Great effort by NMU very impressed with their talent and perserverance.

Bummed to see a couple NMU fans complaining about officiating. All officiating is bad in every sport....just ask any fan.

Best sight at the game was an SCSU you fan that had a stuffed monkey on her back!

Please fans, make the drive to St. Paul tomorrow. Who knows when they will have a regional game this close to home again.

For a moment I don't hate all you Gophers and Sioux fans! :D

Was it just me or did Mosey's reaction to that goal one you would expect to give after scoring the 7th goal in a 7-1 game. He just did not have any big reaction, probably just exhausted. Maybe it is good that he was calm about it...just not what I would have expected.

Probably exhausted and relieved more than anything. No time to celebrate, there is a badger that needs to be slayed!

And being the generally disgruntled bunch we are, shouldn't we be complaining about losing a two goal lead, scoring on ourselves, etc. :D

1-8 never sounded so great!

Nice job by NMU. They never stopped battling. They remind me a bit of Mankato - they aren't flashy just a hard working bunch that makes you pay for your mistakes.

Congrats on the win SCSU. Long time comming for your squad and your fans. No gopher squad to root for turns me into a WCHA fan this time of year. I hope that trend ends next year.

Wow, great game! OT was really, really fun. The Big Dane played a great game. His hit on Kaunisto was great! It brought some excitement back to the third period. Unfortunately, NMU scored shortly after that. But SCSU played well in OT and pulled out the game. Excellent game by the 2 goaltenders. Suggestion for tonight...SHOOT the FRICKIN PUCK!!!

NMU played great and their fans are top notch and one classy group.

What a game! Congrats to our Huskies and let's come back ready to play against Wisco tonight. NMU played a great game and showed a lot of heart coming back to tie it from 3-1.

Mosey's goal is #9 on Sportscenter's Top 10! You mean, they have actually heard of hockey that isn't played on the East Coast?! ;)

Classic game and although I'm crushes that NMU lost I couldn't be prouder to be a Wildcat this morning. Best of luck to our seniors who finally broke down the tourney walls after 11 years. You fellas have a lot to be proud of. Hold your heads high!!!

As for St. Cloud State. I went into the weekend wanting to play Bucky and since I won't get that chance I hope you guys roll them up and smoke them tonight. Great game last night and best of luck!!! ;)

Thats because they were legit! Lets face it, we don't seem to notice when we catch a break from the stripes, and we caught several. I though they did a pretty nice job.

Agreed. After ANY sporting event a team generally can whine about the officiating and this game wasn't any different. I don't think the refs changed the outcome of the game in any way.

I must admit though, I can understand the horrible feeling for NMU fans. I was very disappointed in the 2002 Frozen Four championship game when Maine lost to the Gophers at the X in OT shorthanded.
