NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

And if we are going into Wisconsin, though I don't know why one would, we might as well include the Granite Diggers.

Re: NCAA Tournament: NMU Wildcats vs. SCSU Huskies

i sometimes put ketchup on the ham and cheese hot pockets. but i put ketchup on almost everything, so that probably doesn't count.

Chips and Ketchup...best combo ever.
How about we save some steps and just get:

The only thing that Sault Ste. Marie, MI is good for. Acquiring these.

From the Wiki page itself...
History
The origins of the pasty are largely unknown, although it is generally accepted that the modern form of the pasty originated in Cornwall. Tradition claims that the pasty was originally made as lunch ('croust' or 'crib' in the Cornish language) for Cornish tin miners who were unable to return to the surface to eat. The story goes that, covered in dirt from head to foot (including some arsenic often found with tin), they could hold the pasty by the folded crust and eat the rest without touching it, discarding the dirty pastry.

Google Welsh pasty and see how many recipes pop up...

Generally accepted by who?? Not a Western YOOPER!!!

Much like anything, there are pasties and there are crappy imitations. With Hot Pockets, there is only one type, Sh***y. A true homemade pasty is a true unique treat. Not as unique as a Husky win would be in the NCAA's.

The Wykons, the Hodags, the Castle Guards, etc. And actually, it is the Flivvers of Kingsford.

Who are the Castle Guards?

Except for the Hodags, which are in northern Wisconsin.

Oh, what the hell. Northern Wisconsin might as well be the UP anyway.

Finally, one of you admits it!

The UP also has the Maroons (Menominee), the Modeltowners (Gwinn), and the Gremlins (Houghton). I'm also a fan of Hurley's mascot--the Fighting Midgets. So much win.

And I've only recently become a fan of pasties. I guess they're an acquired taste for us transplanted types...
