NCAA Quarterfinal: Norwich @ Plattsburgh 3/12

Re: NCAA Quarterfinal: Norwich @ Plattsburgh 3/12

You really want to know why the staff isn't as LOUD as it used to be? Dingleberry and the utterly stupid seating arrangements that are still at the staff TO THIS DAY. People "I" sat with "for years" are scattered all over now. Zoo Crew long gone!!! Simplistic Explanation??? You Bet...but "RIGHT ON THE MONEY".:D

Sometimes (and sadly) I feel like Plattsburgh DOES need monitors, maybe something like Oswego has to announce when to cheer. Neutral ice fans, watching, as awesome hockey as was being played would have shown more excitement. Plattsburgh was never behind during all the play, but for the most part you would think they were being blown out. Yes, like the former Air Force base, the Zoo Crew has been disbanded. The Stafford can still pack them in, but until we can get a AD who cares more about Plattsburgh than how many committees he can sit on, or whatever floats his boat, we had better hope we can count on Emery and the great the teams he recruits to save the day.

As I was watching yesterday's game...I kept saying to myself...Jared Docking is going to be the next Eric Satim, who was the next Ryan Busby.

Docking was all over the ice yesterday and scared the bejesus out of me. He had three or four great scoring chances that just missed wide all created because of his relentless hustle and work ethic.

Satim had a tremendous career and is a phenomenal player. I'd take him on my team anyday.

Everyone is talking about the Referee's call but look at the goal scoring play :D:D:D it is a penality kill situation for Plattsburgh, 2 men high in the box, 2 men low in the box, but no four men are high in the box with Chad Anderson looming free as a bird:p:p:p in front of your net. Blake Forkey pulls the puck away from Kyle Thomas on the ice, backs up 10 feet and sees Chad and passes it to Chad. Chad scores --- this is not due to the penalty, this is due to 4 players caught watching the puck and not doing their defensive duties. The closest player to Chad was 15 feet away. "Watch it on the replay" and you will see that Chad was wide open. The Hole game the Cards did great job of containing Kyle Thomas. But on this play 2 men took him out then watched him scramble on the ice as Chad skated in on goal ALONE !!!!for Blake Forkey to pass too.End of GAME:D:D:D

No doubt the goal - and play - was great, no one can deny the caliber of both teams play, and despite being fatigued by over 17 minutes of OT, Plattsburgh still game within 3 seconds of killing off the penalty. Norwich, despite being unable to score an even-strength goal, nevertheless, may have been the best team on the ice, but the poor call that set up the play, will be the dead horse.

The patients Anderson showed was just great. Reminded me a lot of the Boots goal.
