Norwich has owned UNE in the past, however the last two times they played in 15-16 (I think) Two OT games and a split. Now, that has nothing to do with this season, or these teams. Norwich will have the benefit of a friendly crowd and the big ice surface, but UNE has played well on big ice.

I do wish these two teams would play each other during the season. Hopefully, the CCC will fix the schedule problems of this year and give school more room for OOC games.

UNE and Norwich also played last year in the NSB tournament championship game with Churchfield making 40ish saves in a 1-0 win for UNE.

Yeah, I think the history of UNE-Norwich is pretty irrelevant. The UNE program has made leaps and bounds in the past couple years, so their years in the ECAC East aren't really indicative of where they are now.

Not to take this any further off topic than it has already gone, but is Horseheads a real place name?
