NCAA fixing important rules: Cream Cheese.

The Sicatoka

Hoping to correct one of the NCAA rulebook's great injustices, the Big East has proposed a rule change that could go into effect as soon as next August. ...

Proposal No. 2011-78 would permit institutions to offer spreads such as "butter, peanut butter, jelly and cream cheese" with bagels they already may provide to student-athletes at any time.

Thank goodness they're looking at fixing this. It's not like there's graft in college football to be addressed.

Re: NCAA fixing important rules: Cream Cheese.

Is Nutella a violation?

How about marshmellow cream? You can't make a fluffer-nutter (peanut butter and marshmellow creme) without it.

Re: NCAA fixing important rules: Cream Cheese.

To be fair, the Big East is full of bad football schools that aren't cheating well or schools that don't play football.

Therefore, this is a big deal to them. :p

Re: NCAA fixing important rules: Cream Cheese.

It's a good thing to see the NCAA considering the hard issues within their organization.

Isn't the moritorium lifted soon?

Re: NCAA fixing important rules: Cream Cheese.

Do they permit Fluff A Nutters?

However, I must interject that bagels will be banned on the campus of Oswego State.

Re: NCAA fixing important rules: Cream Cheese.

Personally, I don't see why they don't adapt room and board for the players to mean that you can eat like a pig on the school's dime 24/7... at least at some cafeteria or some other set up where the school brings you food. I think proper diet is a part of the sport and if you're a lineman needing 6,000 calories a day... a feed bag and funnel will be on its way.
