NCAA D-III Championship game links

Great game for both teams , amazing turnaround for Hobart after a four OT win Saturday

just caught the third, looked like a tight checking game with few scoring chances....Cngrtas to Bart and bring it back home again to NY....yes W*F with the netting???

Hobart came out aggressive but the 4OT game started to show up in those legs in the 3rd period. Importantly, Damon Beaver was not tired.

Trinity now up 2-0 over Adrian on a pretty goal

Gorgeous goal.

Adrian gets one back. They have also hit the post three times.

It's going to be one heck of a third period.

And for those folks who always say western teams are more physical than eastern teams, Trinity is definitely disproving that.

Trinity Hangs on for the 2-1 win.. An all East final !

But I was told western hockey is superior and that eastern teams wouldn’t have any players left if there were east refs used because everyone was going to be thrown out of the game.

I was actually hoping for an Adrian-Hobart rematch which would make the challenge of a repeat for Hobart intense against the same team they denied a year ago and have a little east v. west flavor. I didn't understand the East v. West until I visited the final four at UWSP and the whole town was "hissing" at you with their eyes when you wore your Hobart gear....I said , hey I'm from the West too....Western NY. All you heard was Pointers this, Pointers that, although it was great to see a town support their team. Now we have two traditional Eastern Liberal Arts schools going at each other with the two lowest GAA , one of them also is the highest scoring team in D3. They played each other on the same ice with Hobart winning 2-1 in OT. Trinity's goalie, Bobak is a workhorse and was named first team AA, while Beaver, last years tournament MVP Goaltender has the best stats of any tender in D3 this year but made no AA list even losing out to Skidmore's goalie in the NEHC. Beaver is the ultimate team goalie and works in total rhythm with his defense, and winning the Natty again would be the best recognition of all.
