As I stated elsewhere, I gotta pull for Union in this one, in hopes that they secure a title (and in so doing, deny yet another one to BC, NoDak or -- in all likelihood -- Minny, who have each skated with the prize often enough.)

I'm hoping for a good game between these two, but I'm figuring Union dispatches BC as easily this year as they did last year.

You've got that backwards... the higher seed (or, home team) is always named 2nd... so, it should be, Union vs Boston College. ;)

This game will be a war. BC won in Tampa in 2012, Union smoked BC, 5-1 last season in the Providence Regional. I'm sure that one has not been forgotten by either team.

We sure are getting acquainted with each other recently, especially for two teams that had never played each other before last season.

Should be a great game, I believe that Union's depth, great defense and experience will win out in the end. 4-2 Union.

I agree, I think unions older team has an advantage but it will be a good game. Looking forward to union/minn final

You need to pick a red team in the AHA for your signature so you have a nice red/blue/red pattern going on. Don't worry, no one cares who you like in the AHA anyway.

Congrats to Union and Boston College fans. Not looking forward to having to possibly face either of your teams (if we can get by Nodak). To say your teams are scary is an understatement.

Gotta say, whomever wins it all this year will truely have earned it.

Can Union shut down the "line" ? If so they have a chance, BC will be ready their is no doubt in my mind about that. Can't wait to watch that game, should be as good as BC Lowell was

I don't think any team can truly and totally shut it down, but some teams can simply do a better job of limiting the damage. I'm expecting this to be a game just like the BC-Lowell game yesterday. I think it will end up being a toss up.

I picked Union to win it all in my entertainment purposes only bracket pool,so yeah. No sandbagging here. BC will have to play a nearly flawless game to win.

They aren't even in the same state...

And in all seriousness, they play such different styles I don't think comparing the two teams is really valid. UML is a defensive shut down squad... Union is going to play more of an uptempo offensive style and that is a better match up for BC. At least IMO.
