We're having a Dr. Zhivago snowy winter around here!

Just was out for a quick morning snowshoe session and things are moving pretty slowly outside. And they're moving slowly on the thread as well. (I knew I forgot to do something before turning in last night... :o )

Big weekend for our Red. As OGC has been saying, for 5 of the last 6 games, our team's been playing more of the kind of game that reflects our identity and skills. Time to keep it going... we need points this weekend. Four of our last RS games are on the road so if we're looking to move up, we've got to grab some road points.

Go, Red, go!

We have been playing well the last three weekends. Can't stop now. Play our game and keep out of the penalty box. It would be great to beat the teams in front of us in the standings. Building confidence for the playoff season.

When these two teams met in November, RPI accumulated 41 minutes in penalties (to Colgate's 6) and managed only 14 shots on goal, yet won the game, 6-2. Afterward, Coach Appert said he wasn't sure he could explain exactly what had happened out there.

If the score ends up to be something similar tonight, I won't worry if he can't explain it this time, either.

As long as we end up with just one more goal than than do-I could care less about any other statistic.

That's the name of the game!

I remember that first Colgate game. I also remember a game Scott Diebold played against 'gate at Starr when he absolutely stoned them! I wouldn't mind if we had a 'repeat' tonight. ;)

I've been out to Starr twice... a quint town. And if you ever get a ticket for running a red light in Hamilton, it's you're own fault. (There's just one traffic signal in town.)

Just heard that Mathias Lange played (in relief) today against the Canadian Olympic Team... Austria lost, 6-0. Lange played the third period and stooped all 15 shots.

Of course you can get a ticket for speeding down one of those hills on Route 20 going out there, like I did.

BTW, for some reason the announcer (Mike Emrick?) kept calling Lange "langer". Not sure why.

Anyone with experience with the Colgate video channel? Does it come live before the game or with the puck drop?

There is no reason to use the Americanized pronunciation when he is playing for Austria. "Lahng-uh" is about correct.
